Rawdat Baba-Adam, an MPhil student on the project, presented her ongoing work at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) annual Research Conference held from the 20-22nd of July 2022.
All students on the HEPMAL project together with the PI; Prof. Kwadwo Asamoah Kusi attended the Convention of Biomedical Research in Ghana (CoBReG) 2022 Conference at the University of Cape Coast, from 24th-26th August 2022. They each presented on the progress made so far in their respective research areas. At the end of the conference, Prof. Kusi was elected the new CoBReG President and Miss Rawdat Baba-Adam (MPhil Student) was elected the student representative on the CoBReG BOD. The conference was eventful, and the trip offered a much-needed break and that brought rejuvenation and fostered team unity.
All students on the project had their abstracts accepted and presented their ongoing research at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research Annual Research Meeting (ARM), held on the 17th and 18th November 2022.
Bright Asare, an MPhil student on the project, gave an oral presentation of his completed MPhil research at the prestigious Conference for Public Health in Africa (CPHIA 2022). This was held from the 12th-15th December 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda
The MPhil students on the project, Bright Asare and Rawdat Baba-Adam, in line with project’s deliverables, submitted their final thesis for grading to the University of Ghana Graduate School and successfully defended their thesis in January 2023. Congratulations are in order!
